The 'Shadows Demo Recordings' thread reminded me that Bruce did a solo set at the Wayne & Jackie Concert in 2005. Using some very good backing tracks (who made them, I wonder?) and strumming Stratocaster 34346, he sang I Could Easily Fall / Don't Talk To Him / On The Beach / Let Me Be The One / Summer Holiday / Bachelor Boy to an enthusiastic audience.
As the official videographer for the show, I shot it multi-camera and multi-mic. At the time I was asked not to release it (not by Bruce), but 12 years have gone by. The lack of any new Shadows material in recent years means these 20-minutes are of added interest. The W&J concert took place a year after 'The Shadows Final Tour' in 2004 and Bruce was obviously enjoying himself playing to a friendly, close-up audience who sang and swayed to songs they knew well (written by Bruce, of course).
If anyone who knows Bruce cares to mention this to him and he says 'yes' then it could be made available. At present it sits (unedited) on a hard disk, but putting it together is no great task. Also on the same hard disk is the finale of the show with Bruce and Jet on stage together performing Apache and FBI but that requires other consents.
