'records' don't seem to climb the charts anymore these days - I think basically most singles seem to enter the charts at their highest position - before dropping off - so I suspect this could (unfortunately) be it for 'singing the blues'
HOWEVER - it really had the whole crowd going last night in Killarney - people were up dancing to it - so I think its a HIT for sure!
The amazing thing is that there was a band called 'Simply Shadows' - in the hotel ballroom after the show last night - who played a cover of Cliff & the Shads version of 'Singing the Blues' - there may even be some members of that band who are members here - or on the previous site!
Disappointing indeed. I was pretty sure they'd go straight into the top ten at least as it's getting a fair bit of airplay. However, I looked for it in HMV at the weekend and it wasn't to be seen. Am I right in thinking you need to download it before it 'counts'? Ah for the old days when you came out of the record shop clutching your prized purchase and couldn't wait to get home to put it on the Dansette.......

P.S The easy way to get a signature of Cliff and Hank Bruce and Brian. Can you give me advice.
Malc, if it was the HMV in Princes Street, the single, both CD and 7", is sitting at the end of the checkout queue. Hardly in a conspicuous place but saying that, trying to find any singles there is next to impossible.
