I have heard an audio recording of The Shadows' 1982 Autumn "Life In The Jungle" tour, on which Hank and Bruce were using radio transmitters for their guitars for the first time, or maybe the first time in the 1980's. Because I seem to recall something saying on this forum (or the old MSN version), The Shadows had already experimented with radio transmitters in the 1960's.
Anyway, early in the show, The Shadows played "Albatross", but then halfway through the track, something began to interfere with Hank's radio transmitter and the group stops playing. After that, Hank and Bruce cover the malfunction up, by making some jokes, after which Hank switches to a normal guitar lead and the group again play "Albatross", this time without technical difficulties.
