The Shadows were certainly playing Midnight in mid-1962 (even after Tony and Jet were no longer with the group). As a matter of fact, the first time I saw The Shadows live (April 1962), of the original line-up, only Hank was on stage, since the Brians had arrived and Bruce was off sick for a week. And they opened the act with Midnight...
As for Sleepwalk, this is not a song I recall very much from the 1960s. I would suggest that by 1964, Leonard Bernstein's Tonight (from "Dance With The Shadows") had taken on the function of the big ballad for the Shads' act. And even that didn't last all that long, since it too was supplanted by its own stablemate Somewhere by late 1966.
