Another Side Of The Shadows (?)

Postby stug345 » 06 Mar 2011, 15:34

Hi All,

Sorry if this is old news, but has any one heard the new album available on ITunes, "Another Side Of The Shadows" ?

It is listed under The Shadows, but it's a new one on me. I wonder who the group really is ?

13 tracks of the older stuff, but totally different arrangements. Something different I guess ? Can anybody shed any light ?

cheers

I am not a registered user of iTunes, and never will. But if there is an album available there for download and announced as being by the Shadows, although it's only a cover by an anonymous group, then there is room for complain for forgery...

This sounds as though it is the same 13-track CD which is listed on Spotify as "Dance On" by The Shadows.

Some of the titles are mixed up - but all those titles are present on the Spotify-listed album.

Shindig in particular is a great track - very country.

Hi Jim,

Yes, that's the same track list, and you are correct that some titles are mixed up.

I thought Shindig was great too ! Very Albert Lee. Unlike my version, which is more Albert Steptoe !! :D

cheers

I'm sure I've seen this somewhere on the internet and I got the impression that the group was "Dance On" and the album was called "The Shadows"

A good way of fooling fans into buying it thinking it was The Shadows although having said that there are some interesting versions of some songs on there
