Malware on Spotify?

Saw this on another (reliable) forum this morning:
"Had a machine in today with the 'Windows Recovery' malware that hit Spotify last week. It's a problem to get rid of, killing the malware is easy enough using Malwarebytes and SpyBot BUT it hides users files making them appear deleted.

Going into Control Panels / Folders / Files / Show System files brings them back but 'ghosted out', you can access them and open them but not yet found a way of restoring them properly yet!"

I'm not a member of Spotify myself, but I know a lot of you are so I'm passing on the warning.

Hi Ray

I no longer use MS Windows, but from memory if you show hidden files and right click on properties, you can change them back.
