Hi Everyone

I hope you will understand that I am not seeking any replies to this post … I just want to say a very sincere and heartfelt thank you to all those who have sent messages of sympathy and who have offered support, advice and practical help over the last few weeks. I can’t tell you how much the help has been appreciated.

I know that there are many people who have known Jet for longer than me – but I feel unbelievably lucky and honoured to have been both a friend and also part of Jet’s ‘team’ for the past few years. I will never forget his kindness as a friend and I will never forget the courage, determination and incredible spirit with which he fought his illness. The memories will stay forever ... a great musician, a unique person and a very dear friend.

Janet has asked me to post a message from her (see separate post). She has also asked me to continue to help with various things including co-managing the ‘Jet Harris Memorial Fund’, so I’ll keep you informed as and when we have any further details.

Not seeking any replies eh?

You reckoned without me then!

I think we all know how much support and help you've given Janet and Jet over the past couple of years,
both you and Barry, not least driving Jet to and from long distance concert engagements, without which
he may not have been able to appear at the gigs further away from his home, and also to and from Hospital
appointments.

I know you both are still helping Janet in the aftermath of losing Jet and have been and continue to be her "Rock"
(I've done it again! First I called you "A horses mouth" and now a Rock!!)
