"A 66-year-old who auditioned for 'Britain's Got Talent' angered some fans after it emerged that he had previously appeared on 'Top of the Pops' and played on some Van Morrison records. A viewer commented on a forum: "This show should be for beginners setting out on their careers. Not for successful musicians who've had their chance." The same is true for when I appeared on 'Top of the Pops' as a member of other bands."
