Would anyone planning to come to our show at the Dearne Playhouse please be aware that the show has unfortunately been cancelled.
The theatre has suffered a spate of burglaries recently and is now not in a position to host any shows at the present time.
I will of course let you know when an alternative date has been arranged.
Those who have purchased tickets please contact the theatre on 01709 894 128 who will arrange refunds.
I feel that it is very sad that community projects are affected by some low lifes who have nothing better to do that break into property and cause havoc.
I hope that the theatre survives the current problems and will support their efforts to do so.
For the folks who were looking forward to an evening of music here's to the next time

Take care

To say I'm p****d of would be an understatement as it was a definite for me and the lads, we can't make The Acorn as we have a gig that night, so we'll wait for the next one and hope we're able to come then. :)
As for the scum that burgled the place, I hope they manage to raise enough cash from their ill-gotten gains to buy enough dope to OD.

Thanks, Dave!
As for your "scum" comment.............................."and so say all of us"!!
If Arther Scargill and Brian Blessed (who appeared - separately - at The Playhouse when it was still Goldthorpe Miner's Welfare) had been on the stage when the scum visited - they (the scum, that is) wouldn't have stood a chance!!

Paul

Hi, I have tickets, but just found out about the cancellation. Are you going to get another venue in the barnsley area in the near future.

Hi Roger,
The Dearne playhouse have promised to arrange another date when they are able to support the show, Thanks for getting tickets, it is a shame that the theatre has had so much trouble and we wish them well with all the work that they are doing to get up and running again.
We are the Acorn Theatre In Worksop on The 16th July if that's any good for you details can be found here http://www.acorntheatre.net/whats_on/life-story.html
Take care
