I believe Hank has been approached in the past to write a autobiography on himself and the Shads but the publishers just wanted him to trash his bandmates and dish the dirt, something he wanted no part in so no book by Hank.
I wonder if Brian Bennett might write something, he's had quite an interesting time in the Shadows (and beyond). I would buy it.

I had heard, a few years ago, that Brian was thinking about writing a book, but wanted to leave it until after the 50th anniversary. I would very much like to think that this is still the case, as this is a book that I would most definitely buy! So, how about it, Brian?

I recall from one of the Dutch Dynamite International issues, from way back in 1970, that Hank had plans to write a collection of selfwritten stories for children. I don't think it came to anything.

Regarding the Me and My Shadows book we recently had discussions with Royston Ellis about a reprint but there were copyright problems. In this case copyright is owned by Souvenir Press, the estate of Jet Harris, the estate of Tony Meehan, Bruce Welch, Hank Marvin, and Royston Ellis, and all must agree to a reprint. It seems that copyright lasts for 70 years after the death of the last remaining author. All this taken into account there is currently no way a reprint can take place as Souvenir Press would be the first stumbling block. Pat
