Does anyone know who recorded the original version of Fort Knox, and what year?

Hi
Assume it will be the 45 single Sioux Serenade/Fort Knox by the Outlaws which came out on Hmv POP1074 in October 1962

Thanks, Mike, but it's not the Outlaws' Fort Knox' I mean. Roger Allcock's 'Backin' The Groove' CD has the BT of the version I'm looking for the info about.

It's a Lenny Clerwall number, recorded by 1961

Yes it was on their debut album The Fabulous Sound of 1961 i think from around 1980 also reissued with bonus tracks on CD format on the Carelia label mid 90s. I know cause they kindly signed my copy at the 1995 PIPELINE Convention when they gave a superb live set that year.
