Ron....................

Considering the usual level of our Band's "banter", "Shameless Plug" is quite polite!!
As The Hollies say..................He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Regards
Paul
P.S. Actually, he IS quite heavy!

Sorry to miss you tonight, but with over an inch of snow here already, I think a cross-Pennine jaunt would have been off anyway.

All the best to all of LIFE STORY. Have a great one!!

Cheers, Paul!

Thankfully, snow-free in Lincolnshire just now - forecast for Worksop looking OK too.
Wouldn't want to be tackling the Pennines myself at the mo!

Look after yourselves, and have a GREAT Christmas.

Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for asking!
A reasonable turn-out on a cold and frosty (but not as cold and frosty as on YOUR side of the Pennines!) night, between us all again able to put a few bob into the coffers of the EXCELLENT Acorn community theatre at Worksop. From a back-stage point-of view, arrangements were - as always - first class. It really is a pleasure to perform at The Acorn!
We did two, one hour, sets - with a half-hour (VERY necessary for me and our Kid ;) ) "recovery break" in between - and covered most of The Shads hits as well as one-or-two of the lesser-known ones as well. I don't think anyone won the prize for identifying "I wish I could shimmy like my sister Arthur"!!!
A range of the usual "live music glitches" occurred - all included with EVERY intention  , to demonstrate that we DO, actually, play live (No "Karaoke" when Life Story are around!) - but (hopefully) not TOO obvious to those in the audience.
Speaking of the audience, it was SO nice to see a number of familiar faces from the Shadows Guitar Clubs  . There were even one-or-two quite complimentary comments during the interval from people who KNOW a thing-or-two about what we try to do! Thankyou to all of you for turning out on a night when it would have been all to easy to stay in and watch Corrie!!
"The Management" at The Acorn have asked us to get in touch after Christmas to arrange another "bash" there in 2012 - always assuming, of course, that the two "Elder Statesmen" of "Life Story" have recovered sufficiently by then!!
Best regards
Paul.
PS. I'm currently processing some piccies of the gig taken by Margaret (my Wife) on a new-to-her digital camera. I'll try to post a few when I can get my head around the technology!

Hello, went to see Life Story at The Acorn Theatre last night. Good show by the Creassey family. To say they do this for charity is to be admired. I cant guess at the hours of practice that must go into it. Two hours of solid Shadows music with a 30 min break in the middle, how Peter remembers it all i dont know. A great sound from his Burns with the brillianr Pinicle amp. Peters daughter never stopped smiling she is a breath of fresh air, great to see a young teenage girl playing The Shadows music. Great night they raised a good amount for the Acorn Theatre. Cheers Neil :D

Thankyou, Neil and Jimbo.

Your kind words are very much appreciated. Sorry I was unable to make-it to Whitwell today (Sunday), but duties with other - non-musical - family-members intervened.

Have a really good Christmas!

Regards
Paul
P.S. As was evident at The Acorn, neither Peter NOR the rest of the Band DO "remember it all"

Cheers, our Kid!

Left-to-right on the photo are:

1. Lottie (Pete's Daughter) on Keyboards.
2. Dave (Paul's Son) on Rhythm Guitar.
3. Paul (Pete & Kim's Brother, Lottie's Uncle) on Drums...........Note the Drumstick Blur!!.
4. Kim (Pete's better half) on Bass Guitar.
5. Pete (Lottie's Dad, Kim's other half, Dave's Uncle) on Lead Guitar.

If anyone had really wanted to decimate the Creasey clan, an I.E.D on the stage at The Acorn would have done it!

Happy Christmas, everybody

Regards
Paul
