I actually forgot to add the 1962 Kingston live version to the poll, which is very very close to the studio version. Together with the 2004 Cardiff live version, this is the only officially released live version, which includes the main melody near the end, as it is on the studio version. The 1969 Japan and 1975 Paris versions only have the final few instrumental bars to finish the number.

I was one of the few to vote for "Captain Haddock is missing". Not only for the drum solo but for Hank's guitar part as well which never fails to make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. The track is not overlong either
I think that it attracts so few votes because it appears on so few CD's and many fans will not have heard of it.
Let's try a little campaigning !!!!!! http://youtu.be/x72t42bSzhQ

Captain Haddock,
The unfortunate thing is that the question included the word "favourite".
Personally I like all of the solo's listed however as I had to choose one as my favourite I did.
I agree Captain Haddock is a really good solo and it does not get enough airplay. The nice thing is I can play them all when I want and even watch him performing Capt H on "The Shadows at their very best" video.
