Dave

Not so sure about that from what Alan Jones told me last Sunday at North Notts Guitar Club?

Best wishes

Seriously. If this is the very last Shadowmania, then this is what I, personally, would like to suggest.

Bruce invites Hank to come over for it to firstly have a solo spot in which he could play a selection of his new Gypsy Jazz pieces and secondly he performs a set to close the event with Bruce and the Shadows. And, on that subject, Brian Bennett and Liquorice Locking join them, thus performing as the earliest surviving 'classic' line-up.

That is what I would like to see and what, if I were Bruce, I would have tried to organise. What a way to bring the curtain down, eh?

Come on everybody...place your bets!

Here in Australia, we have a reputation for betting on two flies landing on a wall...

Time to start a book, I think:

Hank 5/1 (Punter's Favourite- but long trip could tire him out...)

Barry G 10/1

Mark G 20/1

Justin D 50/1

Ian MAc 60/1

Colin P-J 75/1

Dave Robbo 100/1

Any more runners please?

:D

Cash bets only direct to me PLEASE!

As much as I have the utmost respect for Phil and have offered him support, I have had conversations with people who know and have learned a few things that I think changes the situation a lot. I am not going to write here what I have heard, other than to say that the statement made by David Martin few days ago about 'tough love' couldn't be truer.
Everyone needs to leave it at that and wish Bruce well in getting Shadowmania organised as best he can, given the situation.
It goes without saying that we wish Phil a full and speedy recovery.
Thanking you for your understanding. :)
