I had a Squier JV (Japan Vintage) series '50s Strat for a few years, but eventually sold it on. It was one of the early models, made in 1983, in Olympic white with Maple fingerboard. It was an extremely well made guitar, & felt right in your hands, if you know what I mean. The let down was the pickups, which sounded weak & tinny & no guts. But, the guitar itself was a really top quality instrument. I don't subscribe to the mythical status that that particular series has in certain people's views,
Tony.
