Nice to see some street cred being gained with Gilmour on the same stage, London Arena Sept 2004

Was in the audience of 50,000 at the Gdańsk Shipyard where Dave finished his tour to celebrate the founding of the Solidarity trade union audience in 2006, Still got the ticket stub.

Yeah! Dave certainly knows how to make a strat sing 8-)
One of my favourite guitarists.
That bass player gets to gig with a lot of big names, I saw him on video with Gary Moore I'm sure, and with Clapton too.

The bass player is Pino Palladino.

Well worth a "Google". He's played with anybody who's anybody.

Cheers, Alan.

For Brian and Hugh

And thank you to Jay...I'm watching some Paul Young videos now. There's one with a guy playing a piano that looks like it's fiesta red. Pretty cool. 8-)

Kind regards,
Donna

Yes indeed, Mr. Gilmour certainly gets some wonderful sounds out of a Strat, and all without resorting to the million notes a second and heavy distortion beloved of too many of his 70's contemporaries.

This video comes from the "The Strat Pack Live in Concert" (celebration the 50 years of the Fender Stratocaster) available both on DVD and Blu Ray. The Blu Ray releases contains a few extra tracks by Hank and Ben Marvin. I have both.
