Mystified as to what this site offers which is new. I had hoped that it would take over the stewardship of all Dave Dixon's material, but it doesn't... A real missed opportunity... :?

Don't think it's just to do with being new (although the thread on recording techniques should/would be useful).
A different opinion/slant on things is always useful. Besides I like the pretty colours!

Its an 'as well as' , rather than an 'instead of'!!!

Hi , ShadowsArena is a small but very close knit group on friends who enjoy the music and share opinions of Shadows related material.

We also offer a "Live" chatbox so friends can chat amongst themselves .
We also offer advice (but would rather leave that to those who know more than us)
There is a vocal section for those who want to post songs etc . video section , recording and guitar sections .

ShadowsArena will welcome any new member with the respect they deserve , you dont have to be a pro to join up .
There are many good players and also learner guitarists, so we cater for all members .

We are just getting back on our feet after the server was hacked , so give us time and we hope you will understand that we still have some minor details to attend to.

Please bear with us .

Regards
Dave

ps ,, many thanx to the Shadowmusic forum here, after all , we are all in the same boat . Its the music that counts.

The ShadowsArena site has been around for a few years now - started by a couple of fellow Shads players who enjoy playing and listening to Shads music.
It was not developed to take over any other site or carry any existing format used by anyone esle. It was designed and launched by me purely to create a small community where like minded people can play, listen and encourage each other to either improve or even take up playing the music.

I dont really understand why you would think ShadowsArena would take over the stewardship of Dave Dixon's material - we are happy as we are... and with what mateial we have, even if we only have a handful of members.

No missed opportunity as far as I am concerned.......

We do not admit to offering anything new and never have done and it just so happens that a few members here are also members on ShadowsArena.

No sweat, guys! Just wish someone would take on all that material in some way ... Such a shame to see it all disappear... :(
