I'd be interested. Part of the attraction of Shadowmania has been the presence of Bruce and other former Shadows and the excellence of all the tributes. The bands mentioned so far fit that description. I'd prefer to keep any "open mic" aspect if there is to be one, separate from the main evening. Also I think timing is important so it doesn't clash with other things.

I would definately be interested ! Sounds a good idea. Anytime would probably be ok, since i've now joined the pension brigade!

Personally I would pay a fat ticket fee and travel anywhere to see a 3/4 band tribute evening on a stage with proper theatre seating - ie no auditorium eating, drinking, clinking of cutlery and annoying chat during performances. I only want to hear and 'see' the wonderful sounds of the Shadows.

A personal view I know, but one which maybe could be said to afford the bands the respect due to them?

Foot Tappers/Shadowers/Rapiers the perfect line up for me, with Hoffers as special guest - and surely Licorice would play in such company?

The experience of staging events like this is all in this forum. Alan Taylor and co have been running Pipeline for years, Ian Harper and co have likewise been running the Scarborough Gala weekend for a long time. The Tyneside event is well established, the Shaddicts Blackpool weekends are well remembered. And of course Bristol. What these guys don't know about what can and can't be done probably isn't worth knowing. I wish Geoff every success with developing this idea. The costs are substantial I imagine. But everything is possible.
