After a break of eighteen months I thought I would take a trip to the Kingdom of Bloxwich tonight to check on the wellbeing of my old Hanky mates. I have to say that I was truly disappointed with the turnout

I was expecting to listen to the latest performances of the legendary Hankies, but where were they ???

Where was Amanda, Roger (I), Roger (II), Keith, Vic, Gren, Ray, Marmaliser, Slapsticker, Alan and the rest ???

In the words of Delia: Where are ya? Where are ya? Let's be 'aving ya !!!

The saving grace was Ecca demonstrating his new-fangled echo unit. It was so good that I was about to ask him to build me one until I remembered that I don't play any more

It was great to see you Phil, I'm glad you came.
These lot don't deserve a Shadows club.
The valve Eccamatic was the business, it was on all night long, it got as warm as you would expect and because of the abysmal turnout and no guitar amps except my little Fender Pro junior clone, I put the guitars through the PA.
There was a good tone from all the guitars even without a guitar amp because of the valves in the Eccamatic and when I came away I left the loyal lads there, still playing without the echo, and how the sound had changed detrimentally.

Incidentally, the pub is now beautiful, new carpet, decor, tables, bar.
The pool table is gone and the tele.
Great venue for the Hankies.

AND IT'S FREE OF CHARGE !
