Hi Toby. Am I correct in thinking that this piece of kit puts the "snap crackle and pop" back into CD playing?
Regards Geoff.

Yes Geoff, You have to be very subtle with the controls. I record a 'blank' file (5 or 10secs) and run the click and pops etc and store it as a loopining track bringing the level up and down as and when etc. I save this for inserts into other tracks.

I do find that 'false live' takes can make a soundfile more atmospheric. Sample some crowd cheers or intros and echo pops as guitars are knocked or plugged in--even feedback prior to the into all contribute to 'live' concert. The drummer testing his gear for a few taps.

Just put those effects onto a seperate track and allow a crescendo of audience cheers as the 1st bar or so is played--emulate a live stadium gig and blend the two together seamlessly.

I also find it save on CPU with so many VST's running.

Geoff and Bojan, I also use this Crowd Chamber, but it's not freeware.

I have used this on pseudo live tracks.
