My favourite band.

I don't know what it is, I can't put my finger on it. I don't want to over analyze it, anyway. Never.... never, over analyze music... but........
Without a doubt, the Shadows are my favourite band, in my book, the best. The very, very best.
Despite me listening to all kinds of music, varying influences, different bands and musicians who I really like... I always go back to the Shadows. Always.
Musically, for want of a better expression, they are the musical Bible for me.
Does that make sense?
From Feelin' Fine in 1959... to Life Story in 2004... on the whole, I think they are so brilliant and superb.
May it go on forever!

p.s. I'm a massive Brian Bennett fan. I don't mean that I'm massive, nine foot seven or something... I'm a big Brian Bennett fan. I don't mean that I'm big......... I'm a huge Brian Bennett fan. I don't mean that I'm huge................................ I like Brian Bennett.
p.p.s. anybody else think that 'I'm Absolutely Hank Marvin' by Richard Hawley feat. Hank Marvin is the modern day vintage retro THAT sound at it's best?

I'm listening to The Shadows The Early Years (expanded edition).
It only serves to confirm the things what I have already writted!
Is there going to be a 66-70 and the years beyond collection?
From '66 onwards, as per '59 to '66, it would be awesome to have everything in one package.
That includes 1980-90 aswell... plus Life Story.
And the new John Barry cover they've just recorded... drats! I wasn't supposed to mention that was I?!
Plus... what about The Goons sublime version of Dance With Me Henry?
