Gypie Mayo event this Friday

The Surrey Blues Club, Hersham Sports and Social Club, FRIDAY 7th March 2014
(For those who visit The Surrey Shadows Club - its the same venu)

This friday we have our house band Game On as usual, but this months Blues Club is a special event organised by Pete Sargeant as a tribute to guitarist Gypie Mayo, of Dr Feelgood and The Yardbirds fame, who sadly died last year.

It will be a fantastic evening of music which will also be mentioned on the Paul Jones Radio 2 FaceBook. Any donations will raise money for the Hospice who looked after Gypie.

I hope nobody minds my posting a non shadows item, just thought it worth a mention

I'm not in the UK right now but I would have gone to this event. I saw Dr. Feelgood multiple times in the late '70's, with Wilco and with Gypie. They were just a fantastic live band and have suffered more tragedies than any band deserves.

RIP Gypie and Lee
