Excellent find, Jay!
Now there's an interesting difference - The (American) Drifters went after the (UK) Drifters through the law courts threatening to do goodness knows what if they didnt stop using "their" name, whereas Bobby Vee, a real Gent, just let the name of The Shadows pass on without AFAIK any fuss or litigation.
Cheers

I'm sure i saw him at The Gaumont cinema wolverhampton in 1964, i thought he was on the same bill as The Spotnicks but on checking it was Bobby Rydell, he was touring the UK around this time but my book of W'ton concerts seems to miss him out. (incidently Bruce Baxter played Lead for The Spots Bo Winberg was ill), I've just had a check and he was touring with The Searchers at this time and they where special guests on the B Rydell show maybe he was added, someone on here is sure to know ?
