Mark Griffiths' Tour Dates Announced

Postby donna plasky » 05 Apr 2014, 20:51

Hi. I am not sure if this was already posted, but here is a link to Mark Griffiths' tour dates with his current band, The 3 Boxes. The dates run from 21 April through 30 April, and of course the venues are in Great Britain. I wish Mark the best of luck. I wish I could see him in concert...maybe someday.

Kind regards,

I just wanted to re-post this, because there were no replies. If anyone is wondering what type of music The 3 Boxes play, here is a link to Amazon.co which has audio samples of the tracks. I think our vendor of choice to buy albums would be Leo's Den, but you can also get this album as either an mp3 download or an actual CD from Amazon.co. Mark is quite an impressive acoustic guitarist.

I am just posting this because I'm a big fan of Mark's. I, of course, don't know him or have any connection to this tour.

Regards,
Donna

They have taken the Shad's "walk" to a new level!
I like the tune, their tour takes them to Brighton so I would like to go and see them live. I agree Griff is a very accomplished guitarist. They look as though they had fun with this venture so good luck to them.

Thanks for posting Donna.

Thank you, Bob. I did know about Matthews Southern Comfort -- but everything I learned about The Shadows I learned from this website, so I'm sure that's how I found out. Here is a video that I like watching every so often; Mark is wearing red and has really long hair, this being from the 70's. :D The other video is Mark with Plainsong, and I think all three of The 3 Boxes are Plainsong folk.

Cheers,
Donna

There seems to be a conflict between the date given for the Kinross gig on the 3Boxes website and the date on the hotel website. (The hotel is apparently owned by the same people who own the Inn at Lathones, a regular venue for the likes of Albert Lee and John Jorgensen).

Unfortunately one day is just before I go to London and the other is the day after I come back (Miami Dolphins + Oakland Raiders in Wembley if anyone's interested...) so I will probably have to give it a miss..

3Boxes CD is enjoyable and recommended, not just for the Shadows connection...
