New strings?

Do you think "The Shadows" fit brand new strings to their guitars Everytime they make a new record as the sound is so crisp & clear on every disc. Or do they wait till that edge goes off. Like the rest of us( me anyway)

Hank mentioned in the book The Shadows By Themselves in the chapter Hank On Guitar that he changed them about once a week. He did say that it is not necessary for the average but playing as much as they did he needed to.
That was back then but no idea what he did in later years or now.

Use the WD40 trick and strings will stay bright for a very long time indeed!!
