A fantastic night, we raised £560 in the end for ICP Support, so thanks to those of you who came along, and a very special thanks to Jim Nugent, who stepped in at short notice on rhythm guitar. Now that I've actually heard your playing Jim, I repeat, you're a star!

The picture posted by Simon Underwood (above) shows Specs Appeal's soundcheck / rehearsal last Saturday at Simpkins You... er... I mean the Constitutional Club, Seaford, in East Sussex.

My Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp, with all its mighty 22 watts of valve power, was well up to the task.

Specs Appeal are a tasty band, tightly rehearsed and a pleasure to work with, as well as being good conversationalists on the topics of The Shadows, equipment (and its price) and this Message Board and its posters.
