In general, and like a lot of other fans, I don't find the Polydor era as attractive as the first twenty years or so.
But the Shads' last LP ("Reflection") was a fair bit better than the ones of the 1980s.
I quite like:
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
Sealed With A Kiss
Strawberry Fields Forever
Something's Gotten Hold Of My Heart
Bilitis
You'll Never Walk Alone
Some of those have very "1960s" references in them, whether in the playing or in the sound of the guitar. I particularly like the electronic tremolo effect used on the bridge of Sealed With A Kiss.
