My new Father's Day gadget

Postby abel » 13 Jul 2016, 07:14

Hi all,

I am all excited about the new gadget I got for Father's Day: a Sony Music Video Recorder HDR-MV1

http://www.sony.com/electronics/music-video-recorder/hdr-mv1

For the same price as my Zoom Q3HD, the sound quality is much better.
With this I might be able to do decent recordings now.
The two 120 degree angle built in mics are highly sensitive, but still can handle very loud volume recordings.

If any of you has one already and could give me some tips, I would appreciate.

Blessings to all,
Abel

Hi Andy,
That Sony looks pretty neat. Hope to see some videos of your band soon ? I have just treated myself to a Line 6, Relay G10 wireless guitar unit. It works great & has several great features. No more guitar cable for me, thank you.

Tony.

Hi Tony,

That will be my next gadget (the wireless), I think the cable days are over.

As far as the band, our Rockabilly singer moved to ... Kentucky from where he says he can be in Nashville or Memphis in an hour or so (Kentucky is surrounded by 9 states).
He said that they are much in need of bands there, but he will come down several times a year to L.A. to fulfill his many engagements.
He moved his 1940's analog recording studio with him and converted all our recordings to digital to finish the Shadows / Cliff tribute CD
this coming fall.

Blessings,
Abel
