The Shads and Dire straits

Postby noggin » 27 Sep 2016, 20:24

Hi all. Have been a fan of the Shadows since early 60s and my closest claim to fame was that my son ( 13 at the time) was presented by Hank with one of his guitars after he played with him on one of the Saturday morning programmes that appeared in the 80s'/ 90s .... maybe going live????

Anyway. Question burning my brain, and I wonder if I've been dreaming.

So here it is?? I'm convinced that I saw Hank join Dire Straits somewhere during " The Walk of Life". No I'm not talking about Wembley 85 and going home!!

I'm convinced he joined in and they all did the "shadows walk" but can't find on YouTube or anywhere else. Time to garner the knowledge of the learned ones.

Knebworth '90 perhaps? They were both on the bill.
