Apologies for that, Alan. I was probably waiting on confirmation from important parties before I replied to you, only to then forget. Sorry.

For the record, I made all the necessary plans for a ShadowsFix to be held this year but there were significant obstacles. Regarding the date, too close to Lakeside's event would naturally be out of the question and, out of courtesy to the organisers of established events, I'd prefer to steer clear of the dates of all other annual Shadows gatherings. If it is within my control, though, ShadowsFix will be back. I hope to soon start preparing plans for a ShadowsFix in 2015. If it is to happen, I will make sure an announcement will be made on this website as well as others and, of course, on the official ShadowsFix website.

I hope it won't be too long before I have some news for you. If it does happen, I promise I'll leave a lengthy amount of time for everyone to make plans, as I'm aware that a March announcement for an event in August (as was the case last year) was fairly short notice for some.

Interesting ... If I lived in a country about as big as my neighbour's back paddock with magnificent motorways, cheap public transport and mostly speak English ... and someone said "fancy seeing The Shadowers and other excellent bands next week" ... all I would say is WOW !!

Well what a shame if it doesn't happen.
It was in the centre of the country and more to the point I've been practising 'Take this Hammer ' all winter.
What is the problem about the date and venue ?

I wouldn't be too worried about other events either, if you have an attractive program, reasonable location, it will be supported. We now have both the Scarborough and Newcastle events within a week of each other and they can probably do that because the majority of people who support tend to be local to each. Still not too late for 2014, but if it's to be 2015, then so be it.

General consensus from people I've spoken to suggests that May (Whit) Bank Holiday
weekend would be a good idea, whatever year it is..
