Second Night (Dublin)

Postby JacktheFlash » 21 Sep 2009, 23:55

There was no change to the song list or the running order tonight. Compared to the venue in Killarney,
the O2 was enormous and much less intimate.

The Shads got a great reception for their spots so it wasn't just Cliff fans in attendance. Once again when
the Shads let rip on the rocking numbers they were just brilliant.

When you see them enjoying themselves so much and playing so well you wonder why it all has to end at
the end of this tour. What a shame.

Who knows? Maybe in 2011 we'll be enjoying the Why Stop Now tour!

You know I was sat here tonight thinking about you all at this show, and knowing how good it is at a live performance, I drifted into deep thought with the warm feeling it gave me..................Glad you had a good time..............

Wow!
The O2 in Dublin rocked last night. The average age of the audience was the same as Cliff & the Shads, but the audience partied. IT WAS GREAT. One noticeable thing was the different type of audience applause for Cliff numbers and The Shadows numbers (more masculine !)

For me The Shadows were on fire! For me Cliff & The Shadows really enjoyed themsleves and this transferred to the audience. Cliff & the Shadows complimented themselves well.

I am a Shadows fan, but Cliff was excellent, I know he looks after his voice and I hope it lasts the tour.

I agree with a previous post, there is nothing like a LIVE performance, and yes folks this was LIVE.

Now I'll have to persuade the missus to go to another show somewhere in Europe.

All I can say is thank God for the Shads ( & Cliff) and for the experience last night!

I always enjoy the gig for what it is as it's very negative to sit there thinking about the guitar sound not being 'like the record' - it rarely is when anyone plays live. I'm looking forward to it, if my tickets ever arrive . . . . :|

I am not a technical person, but Hank played a BURNS 12 string guitar for "On the beach"... a most fantastic sound.
