It has the burn marks on the head where someone has used it to hold their fag - so it must be genuine

Love the fag burns on the headstock just behind the nut!!
I used to stick my Philip Morris fags in mine too in the early 60's -

Problem was getting them OUT when they burned down low!! Ouch!

The Fender Stratocaster manual from Haynes seems to indicate that the serial number is from 1958 ?
