ALL BRITISH Sensation @ the California NAMM show 2012 - Read

Hi all,

You are going to find it hard to believe, but for our friend JIM NUGENT, it was probalby the most whortwhile and fulfilling Californian trip of his entire life.
Destiny (and his own genuine goodness) have chosen him as the winner of a brand new Les Paul Signature, Billy Morrison Model Gibson in a beautiful solid
caisse
just for havng put his name on a piece of paper and dropped it in a container an hour before at tht GIBSON booth an hour earlier. That's America !.
Moreover, the price was handed over to him by a full bloded B ritish chap who was the Gibson representative.
What a Day (Saturday).
We met and chatted with Albert Lee, John Jorgenson, and other celebrities known to him.
But the highlight for Jim, besides meeting Nokie Edwards on the first night, was meeting and chatting with one of his idols: Duane Eddy who gave him
a great picture autographed.
Also, I have never seen Jim so excited after trying some (litterally dozens) and overwhelmed. If he had money, I would have bought everyone of them.
He said that on Friday he tried a famous guitar that he never got to see or touch before . I said: "I wish Ecca and everyone was here to enjoy this stuff".
Jim said: "You, Ecca and I would actually die and go to heaven from here !".
Today Jim is headed to the Starting Gate to attend a 7 bands Winter Surf Festival. (I am afraid he might move to California (Ha ! just kidding)

After all this, he was so overwhelmed, happy. I can say that I felt at least as happy for him as he was for himself.
Godspeed to you Jim, you deserved it every bit of the way.

Hah. I think Abel is in the pay of Mr Nugent.

Clearly, Jim bought the guitar and this is a cover story to explain why he came home with it. I'm not fooled at all...

(Seriously, well done Jim, now let's see some more photographs!)

Really nice guitar, Jim.

Now, if we can get recording started again, what tune would really suit it?
