A shame they couldn't be bothered to put Fender Bender on as a bonus track. Would that really have been too much to ask?

Just received my copy of the CD, at last! Poor release this. No booklet or bonus tracks, surely they could have done better. Is Talking Elephant part of Universal, does anybody know? If not then why didn't someone like Leos Den release this themselves. Surely there must be other interested parties that could have done a better job with this long awaited CD release.

I asked Brian Goode if I could license this album a few years back and he said Universal were not interested.
I said I was under the impression that The Shadows changed labels in order to control their back catalogue and they owned these recordings, but I never got a reply to that one.
Same old story, it keeps the name in the public eye but no thought or effort goes into it.

Acording to what's written in Bruce's book, the Shadows didn't renew their contract with EMI in 1980 because they were refused any rights with their back catologue.
They got it after leaving EMI, but it seems the no one care about reissueing their post EMI albums...
