That's it Paul, Cornwall, I went and the reason I was disappointed was because Charlie Hall hadn't yet been invented.

UlrichS wrote:Hi all,

In - mainly - August 1984 the Shadows did a UK tour with also Jeff Stevenson and Savoir Faire in the program.

To my knowledge the set list was: Riders In The Sky / Foot Tapper / Atlantis / Time Is Tight / Theme From The Deer Hunter (Cavatina) / Shadoogie / The Day I Met Marie (v) [with a false start at Brighton on 24. August] / Summer Holiday (v) / Equinoxe (part V) / Chariots Of Fire / Wonderful Land / Let It Be Me / Little ‘B’ / Don’t Cry For Me Argentina / Apache / F.B.I.

As the set list is rather short it might be correct that two concerts were played each day. At least for Hull I got 18.00 and 20.45. Can anyone confirm this?

I think I have found out the dates and towns, but only some of the venues. It would be great if I could get the missing venues and/or any corrections/additions.

Ticket price £6.
Concert tickets were a lot cheaper and affordable back then compared to now!

Arenas are way too big. You only hear them and see them on a screen which is no better than watching them at home live on TV which doesn't cost anything.

I know it's been mentioned before, but does anyone know why they didn't play anything off their soon-to-be-released LP Guardian Angel on this tour?

Hi all,
Many thanks for all your additions. At least some of the gaps could be closed and additons be made. :D

Simply because it was not released yet. Release date: 10.11.1984

Best wishes,

The only tour in which The Shadows played tracks from "Guardian Angel", was the 'down under' tour through Australia and New Zealand between January and March, 1985. The two tracks they played were "How Do I Love Thee" and "Hammerhead".
