Thanks for clarifying Didier, folks might need to know that the sound was not the Catalinbread on it's own and that it needed help to achieve this result.
I tried the echorec and thought that it was very good but did not have the magic that some of the alternatives can achieve without assistance.

Thanks for this demo Didier, the so called extra effects are what I use
In my recordings all the time and are found on most amplifiers.

I have ordered a Catalinbread to try for myself, and if it comes close to
Jean Claude's sound I will be very pleased with it.

If the user knows what he's doing, the Catalinbread needs no modification if used through a good Vox or similar sounding amp. It does what it does naturally without compression or extra EQ. :)

Jean-Claude recorded his tests direct to recorder, without a guitar amp, so the effects he used were mostly some kind of amp emulation.

My Echorec arrived today and I am using it with my 9 volt PSU.

I have ordered an 18 volt to see what the difference is,at the moment
I am very pleased with it.
