When You Are A King was a great record on the white/red Deram label - I loved the accordion and the odd time signatures scattered here and there throughout the song. Wonder if "McArthur Park" and "White Plains" are in any way related? After all, they are both USA urban locales (one in LA, one in NY).

Thanks for the link Jim, having listened to the White Plains version maybe I can understand why the track didn't become a hit. Your comments regarding Macarthur Park and White Plains maybe being related as both are places in the states are interesting as "Brotherly Love" the group listed on the discs actual release is a translation of Philadelphia, another place in the States. Further checking on Wikipedia also reveals the fact that John Farrar wrote a song called "Brotherly Love" for Olivia Newton John. Isn't it interesting what comes up sometimes?
