The DVD of last year's Pipeline Convention (which included excellent 'Shadows' sets from The Foot Tappers and Indra & Move It ) will be available at this year's Convention. The double-DVD also includes sets from Happy Daze, The Razorblades and The Secrets plus specially recorded interviews with Malcolm Lenny of Happy Daze and Trev Faull of The Secrets - nearly four-and-a half hours in all.

Ray,
Will this DVD be available for purchase by those who aren't able to be at the Pipeline Convention?
Cheers,
JB

Yes - send me a PM. Incidentally, DVD1 also includes a closeup of the 'Geddes Tie' a now traditional feature of the Convention in which George attempts to outdo Alan Taylor's loud hawaiian surf shirts by wearing brightly coloured ties with a musical theme. In 2009 - a complete drum kit. How was this possible? The answer can be found in the Look Around The Convention feature (spot the celebrities).

Hi Guys,
It is a long drive from Co. Down but I hope to be there and meet some of you.

There may well be a new tie this year.

You - and Ralph Gowling, a great admirer of my sartorial sense - have been warned.

I saw a great Geddes tie last week in New York - white with a music score printed (diagomally) in black. Unfortunately, it was on one of those Times Square souvenir stands and I couldn't stop the car...

Never mind, you can catch last year's tie on the newly-released 2009 Convention DVD, and you'll see this year's selection on Easter Sunday

The above posts on George's tie have reminded me that one of my favourite 60s tracks is "Silence Is Golden"!
