Yes, there are a couple of reports - both very negative, under the thread - The Fabulous Shadows Harlequin Theatre Redhill

Hmmm not so fabulous then :(

Hopefully it's just a bunch of guys trying to raise money for charity :| would have thought they would have been properly rehearsed though........

The name certainly gets them plenty of attention ;)

I have to say ,and certainly not with any pleasure at all, that in my opinion that overall the show was very disappointing.
I had never heard of the Fabulous Shadows before, but anyone playing Shadows music is always worth a look.
From the opening numbers , the lead player seemed to be having a pretty bad night with fluffed notes, missed timing etc, but his "sound" was awful, nothing like anything I have heard before, and not much like a "Shadows"sound. There was some confusion with the set list and a pretty half hearted attempt at the "walk", abandoned half way through a song.
Second half was pretty much the same , and there were quite a few empty seats after the interval. They just seemed to me to be unrehearsed, which given the £16 ticket price seems a little bit off. Plus points were definately the drummer and particularly bassist, who definately held the whole thing together.

Dave,
When I saw the title big news I thought it was a soundfile of you doing the Cliff Richard song from Summer Holiday!!

I'm also booked under my stage name of Bruce Marvin. I shall be playing my Custom Shop red Encore, only the best for this gig!

I don't know who you are, but if you are one of TFS, according to the report on the show as well as a DVD that's doing the rounds, perhaps learning to play would be a good idea rather than announcing the gear to be used. Can't wait to get my hands on the DVD, let's get it up on You Tube whilst it's April 1st .

Hi Guys,
Yep went to see them on 26th Feb at Redhill, I am not qualified to pass comment on the performance, I of course have personal opinions
but I like this site, and I don't want to fall out with anyone, so would rather leave it to somebody with a lot more expertise than me.
