Sorry Brian,

Nick is, of course, correct, (fingers working wrong way round!!!). My understanding is that the idea is that the Dobro can be played using a "three finger roll" style of playing similar to the "Scruggs Style" of Banjo playing. Allegedly developed by Josh Graves, having "copied/learned" the style from Earl Scruggs in the very early days of "The Foggy Mountain Boys".
