Nothing in my email.
It's no great problem because I will probably sign in every day and click on 'View your posts'.

TESTING 1-2-3 :D

Would you like to be called Ezekiel or Michael, etc., if you don't mind my asking?

You mentioned Sheffield...one of our Moderators (Dave Robinson) is from the Sheffield area. Here is his band's website:

To be really honest - Zeke is preferred, it reminds me of my art school days and the band I was in.
And the email thingy worked - so thanks again!!

I like Dave's website and the band sounds very good.
My wife and I are in a band at the moment but it may have to stop as she is on benefits and it may cause her to lose them, which is a shame because on of the band is a brilliant 'Hank' sound-a-like.
I miss playing the old stuff but then I am a piece of old stuff too!

Hi Zeke ( & Donna too), welcome to the forum, I too am a newby to the forum and guitar playing.
Sorry to hear that your wife may have to stop playing, seems a shame.
Can she not just play for fun? Plenty of Shadow clubs around the country.
I am from Surrey and have played at the Surrey Shadows club in Hersham (once only as I can only just manage Apache, but I am learning a couple of others).
Check out the club area listing as it is fun just listening to other peoples differing styles of the same tune (hope that I dont start an argument with that)

Good morning Zeke from sunny Island of Kos.
I remember Bobby Dene & The Nocturns as well as it's later guise as Who's Who, so be careful what you write 'cos I was there! I was with The Cortinas at the time, graduating via Frankenstein & The Monsters to The Cruisers- Happy days! :)

Hello Dave,
I was in The Harlem Nocturnes, then we became The Nocturnes, then a Liverpool band called The Nocturnes got a record in the charts so we changed the name to Who's Who?; I sat in the window of Bradley's music shop in the middle of Sheffield to advertise the change.
Bobby Dene was our singer for a while until we had a crash on the way to a booking at The Hillsbro' Memo.
I have some old pictures of the band in various guises if you'd like to see them.
