Very pleased to report that Brian Bennett certainly hasn't retired! I had the very great pleasure of visiting him and seeing his new recording studio late last year, it was not quite up and running at that point, but all looked very impressive. Although it is a 'new' studio, he has kept the Honeyhill Studios sign which is hanging up outside. I know that he has a couple of projects on the go and I suspect that it is one of these in which Bruce is involved. Sadly, as far as I know, NOT a Shadows project as such. They all still work together from time to time, but not as the Shads. Still, whatever they are recording at the moment, it's bound to be good...right?!!



P.S. Who says it is always cold and rainy in the UK?!!! (Sunburnt - not embarrassed!!!)

They did say in interviews they wouldn't do a big tour again - but that they'd probably do 'bits and bobs'. So you never know...

So Leo's Den have announced what sounds like a new Shadows recording for the John Barry tribute album I really thought there was potential for new material in some format or other. This is the first Shadows track since Life Story isn't it - 9 years ago?

If Cliff doesn't use the Shads as guests on his new rocky album - this more than makes up for it

Now here's a question - if we all bought the Shads track on iTunes in the same week would we be able to get it into the singles chart? 4000 downloads would get it somewhere near no 40 I think. A nice way of saying thank you to them!

Yes I know you're right - but why miss a great unique selling point for the project? It will be the Shads to us at any rate.

Hi Howard, In a recent interview Hank said he recorded the theme from "The Appointment" , Is this the track Leos Den mentioned ? regards Gary

Yes Leo's Den said on Facebook it is a track that also features Bruce, Brian, Warren and Mark - so it's a full Shads line-up in spirit if not in name
