Personally, I thought it paled in comparison to the definitive 2012 version at Pipeline...

On a more serious note, my wee video camera suffered a wee malfunction during the Runaways set. If anyone is willing to supply me with a copy of their video recording of this great band, I'd be grateful and would refund postage, blank DVD or whatever. Thankfully, the wee camera recovered sufficiently to get the last 30 minutes of the set but I'd really like to have it all. Quality not that important...

Does anyone have a recording of the almost perfect rendition of 'This Hammer' ?
It was performed faultlessly by Rob B, Jim N, myself, George G on bass and , I don't know who ended up drumming after all my requests.
Next year I shall wear tighter underpants.

Ecca....is was great to meet you & really fun to be allowed to sing with such luminaries / legends!!! LOL. Speaking of Legend...it was Martin Verrill who kindly stepped up to the drum stool without a moment's hesitation (pretty damn good he was too!!). Don't know about you....but George Geddes and I certainly had a moment of (er....having to hold one's nerve) as we caught sight of Brian Locking out of the corner of our respective eyes...sitting about 3 metres away!!! (He was even closer to you). Anyway...I was reliably (?) informed that he enjoyed our rendition. Yes folks...we practised separately....but, on the night, Ecca, Jim Nugent & myself had all of 2 minutes to rehearse our harmonies in the club foyer!!! He! He!

Rob :D

The batteries on my wee camera died during the number (probably of shock...) but I do know of another recording which I hope to acquire in due course.

Was The Shadowers' version of "Lucille" an instrumental rendition, like it was on The Shadows' "Shades Of Rock" album?

No it was a vocal version, with Phil and Justin, I think, I was away from my Guitar tech position at the side of the stage while Phil was on with the band!

I don't know about anyone else (apart from the rest of the 'band' ) but I loved 'This hammer' - fantastic fun! And yes, I spotted Lic watching intently from the side.
