Licorice delighted as ever with three separate appearances and a blistering Nivram bass battle with Nick, the sort of thing Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa used to do on the drums.

Phil Kelly's return to health and high-octane performance was thrilling. And what a joy to see his expertise on display in other genres.

Most (not all) of the other players were amateur performers united by being Shads fans. They all brought their love and energy to the stage and created a day that ranked with Shadowmania for sheer value, entertainment and friendship.

Did we miss Bruce? Of course we did but he inspired the event and deserves much credit for that in itself.

As an event put on by fans for fans it exceeded expectations and achieved an impressive attendance.

Yes, a great weekend, a privilege to be involved.
I must join in the back slapping and thank Amanda for her help on the Friday night and suggest that next year ( if there is one ) we take our club mixer
so as to alleviate the load on Bob's gear.

Yes indeed a most enjoyable experience.

Just as an aside, did anyone notice the group of people at a table on the far stage right?

There were six of them. All dressed in overalls, hard hats and steel toe capped boots.
Each one had a number of tools with them. I noticed a couple of hammer drills, a jigsaw,
a lump hammer and several screwdrivers.

It turned out that they were all dyslexic and thought it was a "Screw Fix" convention.

Jet once said he found he was dyslexic when he turned up at a toga party dressed as a goat! :D :D :D

A truly memorable Saturday great music played by great musicians, great atmosphere, what else could you ask for maybe starting earlier more groups and finishing much later. I just love hearing Shads music played the right way and Justin you do just that well done and thank you for putting this together.

I'd like to add my thanks to all those who made Shadowsfix happen! I know how much effort needs to go into organising any event so I can imagine how much went into this. I'd like to think we may be able to do it all again as I believe someone once said!

What more can be said that hasn't been already, It was a great weekend overall, and as Amanda said there were lessons to be taken on board, but it was the first one (hopefully of many!), and if the next one goes as well - am I ever looking forward to that!! Well done everyone involved in the organising and performing, you all made the weekend exceptional.
