This is truly bad news as everyone who knew Dave always had a good word to say about him. After the club meetings we often went to the fish and chip restaurant with Dave and Carol and ended the day with a good meal. Dave will be sadly missed by all. Our thoughts go out to Carol and family at this difficult time.

I did not know Dave personally and so I can only add my general condolences at such a sad time. However, I did see the Fentone Four play a couple of times and I have to say that Dave was obviously a fantastic drummer - whose playing must surely have brought great pleasure to thousands of listeners down the years.

RIP Dave

Such sad news. I had the privilege of playing with Dave on quite a few occasions. His drumming was a massive part of the lifeblood of many Shadows clubs. He will be dearly missed. My family and I send our condolences to Carol and all those who loved Dave.

Our thoughts are with Carol and family, such sad news that we no longer have the warmth, humour and willingness to help out with any musical project fellow enthusiasts could ask of Dave.
From the early days at the South West Shadows Club when Dave and Carol would call in when on holiday and treat us to some real live drumming skills at a time when we only had backing tracks; to Shadowmanias over the years - a shame I never got to any Scarborough events while Dave was there. After moving down to Cullompton in Devon, he took the trouble to come all the way to Paignton to lend his support and encouragement to a little gig I was involved in.
As Luigi says, his presence at the Devon Shadows Club was always a boon to any other musicians, and his Northern warmth and friendliness was appreciated by all he met.
R.I.P. Dave Harrison.
