What do you mean?

That's exactly how his "name" IS pronounced.

That's right. He is, after all, American.

There were quite a few of those 'guitar orchestra' type albums back in the '60's and '70's, they were sort of adult oriented easy listening, but the playing on many was superb, with top US (usually) session and/or jazz players.

I had a brilliant one years ago with players like Tony Mottola and a few others, and among the tracks, the album featured updated electric guitar versions of the old Carl Kress/Dick McDonough acoustic duets from the mid '30's...good stuff...and those guys were obviously incredible sight readers, as all the guitar harmonies and lines were arranged!

Alan was telling me that one evening the phone rang; his wife answered it and said "Alan, there's someone on the phone for you called Jay-Zee." Alan said he hadn't heard of him at that point! I believe it's part one of N/E that he sampled. So, Hank is on an American rapper's album. Who'd have thought it, eh? I get the feeling Alan was very happy with the royalties...
