Hi Martin, hi Bill,

I think this is on of the errors in the Record Collector Price Guide. They rely mainly on information given to them from record dealers. Saturday Dance has been issued as 78rpm in India with the same catalog number as in Britain and a nearly identical design. Maybe this has led to the entry in the RCPG.
Additionally it is strange that the RCPG does list the earlier Drifters/Shadows release Driftin' as 45rpm only, but the later Saturday Dance in both formats.

The RateYourMusic website is a list of items offered somewhere. The item description is taken from the specific offer without any proof.

I will only believe in the existence of a UK Driftin' or Saturday Dance 78rpm if someone can give a proof of it by a proper picture.

Best wishes,

Ulrich

Agreed, Ulrich... certainly, I have been unable to find any photographic evidence of such releases.
