Nice, Jim, very nice. But they won't be appearing at Pipeline...

But it could be suitable background music if a catwalk was added to the Convention for the peacocks among us to strut their stuff ...

Catwalk?

Alan's having enough trouble trying to find a drum riser!

There's still time to secure an advance ticket for the 5 instrumental bands on Easter Sunday and save yourself £3.

That's 5 bands playing the music of THE SHADOWS, DUANE EDDY, THE SPOTNICKS, THE VENTURES and more, featuring:
THE SHADOWERS with Justin Daish and Alan Jones
THE VINTAGE (Sweden)
APOLLO 11 (France)
THE TWANG GANG
and...
THE VICARS OF TWIDDLEY!

1pm to 8pm, great venue, details at http://www.pipelinemag.co.uk

Network Rail permitting, I'll be there.

With 'the tie'

Great and varied line-up of bands, good value for money day out and a friendly get-together for instro fans, with Bruce Welch and Colin Pryce-Jones often among the audience.

Pity about the looming rail strike north of the border ...

Yes - Pipeline is a wonderful day out for Instrumental fans / devotees and this year's line -up promises to deliver on all levels yet again! Superb! Colin Pryce - Jones is hoping to be there although he will be travelling back from Holland in the early hours. Hmmmm....potential rail - strikes etc are worrying. Because of family circumstances I will have to make the trip by rail this year. If there are no trains (potential strike by track / signal workers) then I have well and truly had it - unless there is someone driving up passing near Newbury / Thatcham who could offer me a lift! Plus....where would we be without Sir George of Geddes? Pipeline simply wouldn't be Pipeline without THAT tie! (Oh alright & Big Al's Hawaiian shirt). Hope to see many of you there on the day.

Bests....Rob :D

Were the rail strike just North of the Border I could probably get a bus to Carlisle... Unfortunately, as Rob says, it's going to be a national one. I'm looking at Plan B (but I don't think Easyjet calls at Thatcham) but fingers crossed there are RMT members who are Pipeline readers and the strike doesn't go ahead!
