Such a capable and stylish player and such a good guy. I remember a conversation we had about bass playing technique. He said "you have to play with your heart".

Very sad news indeed. I met Hoss in Tilburg and saw him play several times with The UB Hank Band. He will be sadly missed.

I'm going to play the Verden videos on You Tube now in memory of Hoss. RIP

Quite shocked to read this today. I was most impressed with his effortless and inventive bass playing at Shadowmania. His persona on stage seemed one of great humour and sheer love of the music he was performing. What a sad loss to his fellow musicians and family and all of us who appreciated his support and promotion of Shadow's music.
