I am a bit hacked off as BBC Radio programmes on Freeview are switched off in the evening
at least on the Central Scotland TV/Radio Network. Another great bloody cost cutting decision
by an organisation that pours money down the drain on Jubilee , Olympics ,and other extravaganzas,
yet scrimps on basic services.
As my only recording facility is set up on a Freeview HDD/DVD recorder, I will have to journey to the
centre of the loft to retreive an old FM radio with built in C90 cassette recorder!!
Time to give Auntie Beeb a kick up the backside with a size 12 boot!!!

Really? What reason do they give and how does it save money?
Perhaps you could PM me to avoid the thread going off topic :)

I live in East Anglia and I can receive BBC radio via Freeview through the night. I have set my Humax box to record the Shadows programme on Monday night , hope it works because I can no longer record radio any other way. Is it possible that our Scottish friend Mike, might benefit from a reset of his freeview box as all channels keep changing while the digital service rolls out across Britain ?

I made a test last night, and the BBC Radio 2 internet online player worked well, so with Replay Media Catcher, I should be able to record it.

Phillip, there appears to be a transmission switch off for all BBC
Radio programmes 4PM TO midnight weekends and 5 PM TO12 midnight
weekdays on at least Blackhill transmission area.
This is confirmed by blank programming on above hours as shown on
the E P G which recorder updates daily.
I will try a manual reset as you suggest to see what happens.
